Cindy's Reef
Also known as: Cindys Reef
Cindy's Reef slopes gently from shallow coral gardens to a drop-off and is usually dived as a slow drift. Dive centres point out the variety of hard corals, from staghorn and large plate corals to a bommie covered in the knobbly 'potato head' coral. Anemones with clownfish colonies line the reef, and macro subjects such as nudibranchs, mantis shrimps and pipefish hide among the corals. Near the drop-off, tuna, barracuda, turtles and blue-spotted stingrays pass by, and a few boxes of discarded WWII ammunition lie on the reef. Visibility is usually good thanks to its position at the point of the island.
