University

Also known as: University Beach · Sea Institute

The site takes its name from the university marine station next to Lighthouse beach, whose researchers grow corals on metal frames on the slope. These structures are now overgrown and full of small fish and invertebrates, and signs and equipment of ongoing experiments can be seen along the way. Divers report eels, barracudas, octopus, large flatfish, nudibranchs, turtles and blue spotted rays. The slope is not too steep, so it can be dived shallow or deeper according to experience.
