Cala Rossa
Generations of quarrymen cut blocks of white calcarenite here, leaving galleries at sea level and a sculpted coastline. The AMP guidebook describes a route along a vermetid platform and submerged rock falls. Mete Subacquee mentions ancient Punic and Roman remains on the sandy bottom between Cala Rossa and Punta Marsala, about fifty metres apart. The bay can be reached from land along the coastal road as well as by boat.
