Franjack Wreck

Also known as: Franjack · Epave du Franjack

The Franjack was built in Denmark in 1958, later carried sand in Guadeloupe and was damaged by Hurricane Hugo in 1989. Les Heures Saines sank it on 9 June 1996 south-east of Pointe Malendure as an artificial reef. Divers descend the line to the hull and circle it to the propeller at about 23 m, and can enter the wheelhouse and engine room. Sponges, bryozoans, sea squirts, anemones and shrimps cover the structure, and moray eels, turtles and stingrays are reported. The wreck is also dived at night.
