La Fourmigue de Giens

Also known as: Les Fourmigues de Giens · Les Fourmigues de Giens et le Fourmigon

The Fourmigue of Giens and the Fourmigon islet sit out in the bay, far from the coast, which keeps their fauna and flora rich. The finest walls are on the south and east sides, dropping to about 36 to 40 m with curtains of gorgonians, while the north-west side offers a plateau suited to level 1 divers. Around the Fourmigon divers meet passing dentex and walls decorated with yellow encrusting anemones. The site cannot be dived in easterly or southerly winds, and only with difficulty in a light mistral.
