Manta Corner

Manta Corner lies near the south side of Cocos Island and can only be reached for a few months each year, so it is easily overlooked. A steep rock face drops along the island, where grunts school and a small cave holds whitetip reef sharks. When conditions allow, divers swim through a narrow channel between about 12 and 18 m. Tiger sharks patrol the shallows, and marble rays, eagle rays, hammerheads, Galapagos sharks and, true to the name, mantas are seen here. The Aggressor crew describes a relaxed dive with plenty of fish and the island's wall topography.
