Chatham Bay

Also known as: Chatham

The Chatham Bay dive takes place at the northeast end of the bay, opposite Manuelita islet, and is where liveaboards run their check-out dive. A sandy bottom scattered with hard coral holds colourful reef fish, giant hermit crabs, urchins, lobsters and several kinds of eel. It is a good macro dive and shows that Cocos has more to offer than sharks. Whitetips are still everywhere, and a tiger shark passes now and then.
