Radar Reef
Radar Reef takes its name from a former radar station on the shore above it. The reef slopes gently away from the north coast and carries large coral heads where turtles and moray eels are regular sights, along with schools of grunts and snappers. Shore divers enter by the staircase between the boat ramp and the stone jetty and can follow a telephone cable across the hardpan out to the reef. Reef Divers counts it among its shallow dives and marks it as a snorkelling site, and Wannadive rates it as suitable for all divers and for night dives.
