Vulcan Rock
The pinnacle rises from deep water to about 5 m below the surface and is covered in colourful growth. The cave or swim-through under the rock starts at about 15 m, has four entrances and is roughly 20 to 30 m long, and a deep rumbling of moving boulders is often heard inside. Ridges and pinnacles surround the main rock. Rock lobster, reef fish and curious seals are common, and visibility is usually good in summer, though the water is very cold. Strong currents mean a drift line should be used.
