Pinnacle
The pinnacle stands in about 8 m just off the entry gully, sheer on its landward faces and tapering gently to seaward. The reef runs from the shoreline down to about 12 m at the edge of the gravel and 14 m on the sand. Red bait dominates the shallows, false corals and sea fans the steeper deep sides, and sponges increase with depth. Many nudibranch species are seen regularly, and spider crabs are common on the sea fans.
