Gary's Gut

Gary's Gut is a steep wall that drops from about 5 metres to 40 metres. Divers are encouraged to swim out a little and look back at the drop to appreciate its scale. Fan corals, soft corals and sharks are the main attractions, along with unicornfish, surf parrotfish and several butterflyfish species. It offers a strong contrast to the garden sites nearby, and Cairns Dive Adventures flags it as one of the best sites on Agincourt Reef.
