Coral Gardens (Flynn Reef)

Coral Gardens is one of the busiest sites on Flynn Reef because it works for snorkellers and divers alike. The top is a garden of hard and soft corals with staghorn thickets, fan corals and giant clams in the sand. Its wall falls to around 30 metres and draws pelagic fish such as trevally and Spanish mackerel. In the summer months leopard sharks are seen, and whale sharks occasionally pass.
