Fukui Point

Also known as: Fukui

Unlike most Bunaken sites, Fukui is a broad slope rather than a sheer wall, with only a few short steep drops. Dive The World says it is named after a Japanese diver who found it. A resident school of batfish, napoleon wrasse, trevallies and big snappers come here to be cleaned, and reef sharks rest on the sandy plateau at around 30 m. Five giant clams lie in a row at about 20 m, and garden eels live on the sand. When the current runs, thousands of red-tooth triggerfish swarm low over the slope.
