The Cathedral

Also known as: Cathedral Shark Dive

Beqa Lagoon Resort runs this two-tank shark dive a short boat ride from the resort on a few set mornings each week. Divers descend along the reef contour or the lines to a stone wall and watch from behind it while feeders lock bait into a box. Tiger sharks are the signature species, and bull, grey reef, blacktip and whitetip reef, sicklefin lemon, tawny nurse and silvertip sharks also appear. Massive groupers and schooling trevally add to the action, and the safety stop on the reef top can bring turtles and Napoleon wrasse. Nitrox is strongly recommended for the bottom time of about 40 minutes.
