Frigate Passage
Also known as: Frigates Passage · Frigates Walls · Frigates Wall · Frigate Wall
The reef here is big enough for several separate dives, from drifts through the channel past two large bommies at its mouth to long runs along the outer wall. The walls carry giant gorgonian fans, old black coral bushes and healthy hard corals, cut by canyons and cracks. Eagle rays, mobula and manta rays, zebra sharks, whitetip and grey reef sharks, schooling barracuda and turtles are reported. The site is remote, roughly 45 minutes by boat, few operators visit it, and it is only dived on calm days. Surfers know the same reef for the Frigates surf break.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
