Big Cave

Big Cave is one of the signature dives of Desroches in the Amirantes. A tunnel about 6 m wide leads straight into the reef wall and, after some 60 m, opens into a big round room. Nurse sharks and turtles are sometimes found resting inside. On the way out the entrance appears as a bright blue opening, which the dive centre describes as the best moment of the dive. Petit Futé notes an immediate descent to about 18 m and reserves the site for experienced divers.
