Gulen House Reef

The mix of currents, nutrients and depth levels creates many small habitats, and scientists who attend the Nudibranch Safari each year have confirmed the species count. Three nudibranch species new to science were described from here in 2017. The sand holds rare gobies, clingfish and snailfish, while feather stars occur at only 15 to 25 m. In autumn the reef comes alive at night with crabs, squat lobsters, shrimps and small squid. Larger visitors include cod, wolffish, monkfish and lobster.
