Coral heads and green branching coral spread across this part of the reef, damselfish are common and batfish and kingfish circle overhead. Blue-spotted rays rest in the sandy patches and an occasional reef shark passes. Reef Builders calls the garden spectacular, good for beginners and for photographers after wide-angle reef scenes, and notes that humpback whales have even been seen underwater here in season. Rare Tridacna costata giant clams are reported in the shallows of Two Mile Reef.
