Blonde Rock
También conocido como: Blond Rock
Blonde Rock is a pair of submerged pinnacles in the open Sir Francis Drake Channel between Salt Island and Dead Chest. The dive usually begins in a bowl that dive centres call the amphitheatre, surrounded by valleys, ledges, large and small overhangs and swim-throughs. Long sea whips on the top of the rock are said to give the site its name. Turtles, barracuda, rays and sharks are seen, and lobsters, crabs and other small creatures hide in the ledges. Because it lies in the open channel, waves can make it difficult and operators only visit in good weather.
