Navarra

The Navarra was a 47 m fishing boat abandoned by its owner and seized by the French Navy. Early in 1996 the regional diving federation sank it off the port of Saint-Gilles to create an artificial reef. A cyclone swell later broke the wreck in two, leaving about ten metres between the halves. Small groupers, snappers, filefish and leopard moray eels have settled on it, and pelagic fish pass by. The depth and frequent current make it a dive for experienced divers only.
