Big Mount

Also known as: Pulau Lima North

The pinnacle lies some 50 to 100 m off the north tip of Pulau Lima and is reached on a buoy line to about 18 m. Its top sits at around 14 m, and boulder terrain covered in hard and soft corals, gorgonian fans, whip corals and anemones drops past 30 m to a sandy bottom. Black coral clusters grow on the pinnacle. Currents can be strong, which brings pelagic fish such as barracuda, tuna, trevally, rainbow runners, groupers and blacktip sharks. It is one of the best places around Redang for a chance whale shark encounter.
