Urabain Wreck

Also known as: Urabain · Urbarain · Naufragio Urabain

The Urabain was built in 1976 as a fishing and refrigeration ship and caught fire at the Storni pier of Puerto Madryn in 2017. It was later sunk on purpose to create a dive site, and instead of settling upright it came to rest heeled over. Operators run the dive by boat, a short ride from the town. Fish such as white salmon, groupers, turcos, scorpionfish and sargos live around the hull, together with tube anemones.
