Punta Cormoranes

Also known as: Cormoranes

Cormoranes lies on the northern shore of the mouth of Golfo Nuevo, inside the marine protected area of the Valdes Peninsula. Large overhangs run parallel to the coast, carved by the tides that flow in and out of the gulf. The reefs are deep and far from the coast and can be reached by boat only. Strong currents make it a difficult area, so dives are planned for slack water. Crevices and ledges hold giant algae, mussels, silver sargos and schools of groupers.
