Vietnamese Wreck

Also known as: Pasir Tani Wreck · Pasir Tani

The craft was under tow towards Kuala Besut for repair work when it sank in 1976, and only half of the hull is left. Soft corals and gorgonians cover the structure, and divers can swim through it. Barracuda, batfish, snappers, groupers and sweetlips gather around the wreck, while scorpionfish, stonefish and nudibranchs hide in the debris nearby. On the sand around it, guides also point out seahorses and blue-ringed octopus. Currents can be strong and visibility is often limited, so a torch helps.
