White Star

Also known as: White Star Wreck · White Star Shipwreck

The ship originally sailed as the Ivana Ivanova in the Russian Black Sea fishing fleet and was renamed White Star after a Cypriot company bought it. On its last voyage towards Limassol, where it was to be scrapped, it went down close to Geroskipou municipal beach. The wreck lies on rock in 14 to 18 m and is reached by boat from Paphos Harbour. Its roomy loading bays shelter groupers and sea bream, and black-tailed combers are reported around the hull.
