Pistol Bay
Entry is down a well-used route over sloping rocks into a bay with varied topography: a sand pit ringed by boulders and a rock wall, a rock valley at about 20 m, reefs, walls and seagrass beds where turtles graze. Swim-throughs of all sizes are the main attraction, and one cave is known as the bubble cave because divers' exhaled air seeps through the porous rock and rises as a curtain of bubbles. Marine Divers calls the site Pistol Bay / Turtle Rock after a rock formation here. Trumpetfish, morays, cuttlefish, octopus, barracuda, pipefish, bream and wrasse are common, and Visit Pafos mentions occasional seals and stingrays. Visit Pafos calls it a good introduction for divers who want to try cave-like features.
