Banc 06

Banc 06 is a shallow plateau about 5 km behind Nosy Sakatia at 14 to 19 m. It usually holds huge shoals of fish and is suitable for all levels.

The plateau is normally crowded with schooling fish, although on some days they disappear for no clear reason. A huge moray eel is sometimes seen, and stonefish, crocodilefish, leaf scorpionfish and frogfish reward a slow search. Whitetip reef sharks pass by, and manta rays, mobulas or eagle rays sometimes turn up. Conditions are usually gentle, which makes it a forgiving dive.
