L'Impérial du Large

L'Impérial du Large is the offshore rock of the Impériaux group south of Riou island. The interesting part of the wall starts at about 35 m and is covered with gorgonians, with groupers, scorpionfish and nudibranchs on the rock and barracuda, amberjacks and bonito in open water. Sunfish appear here in season. The dive is usually a drift with current, and the long decompression stops make it a dive for calm days only. A wooden boat lies at about 63 m at the foot of the wall.
