Statue of Christ

Also known as: Kristu tal-Bahhara · Christ of the Sailors

The statue was first sunk near St Paul's Island in 1990 and moved in 2000 to its present place near the Imperial Eagle, which had been scuttled a year earlier. It stands in a natural rock amphitheatre with its face turned up towards the surface and its arms outstretched. A short underwater valley connects it with the bow of the ferry, roughly 30 m away. The two are normally visited on the same boat dive.
