La Crique Abricot
The cove is sheltered from current and swell, and a picturesque wall along its side is used for first dives and navigation training. Its broken relief and many small faults make it a favourite home of octopus; the common octopus is the one seen by day, and the Caribbean reef octopus appears on night dives. Wrasse, surgeonfish, parrotfish and seahorses are regular, and barracuda and skipjack tuna pass by. From here experienced divers head west to the Jorasses or south along the Pointe Burgos plateau towards the Petite Sirène.
