Vallée des Gorgones

Also known as: The Gorgonian coral valley

A pretty drop-off with intact corals is riddled with holes and recesses where nudibranchs and lobsters hide. Around the canyons divers may meet eagle rays, leopard sharks, whitetip and grey reef sharks, and on a rising tide larger fish such as grey reef sharks and Spanish mackerel gather. Seen from the ocean side, a cave on the site has the shape of a heart, which makes it popular with honeymooners. Bright soft corals and schools of lionfish complete the picture.
