El Cernícalo
Also known as: Kestrel
According to the Crusoe Island Lodge it is the only dive site of the island that is not attached to the shore, and probably the most spectacular one. The shoal begins at 18 m and continues past 60 m. Its rock walls are carpeted with anemones in yellow, brown, red, blue and green, and the endemic black coral Parantypathes fernandezii grows here among abundant fish life. AustralDivers names Cernícalo as one of the highlight dives of its Juan Fernández trips in the north-west of the island.
