Banjol
Also known as: Banjole · Bagnol · Island Bagnol · Reef Banjole · Banjol Caves
Near the island's centre, at about 5 m, an entrance leads through a corridor into a cave chamber that the sun lights through an opening in the roof. At around 12 m there are two further caves and a cavern that are easy to swim through. Colourful sponges cover the cave walls, where scorpionfish, conger eels, lobsters, red starfish and sea cucumbers hide. Between about 26 and 32 m a small wall attracts john dories. PADI also notes a statue of St Euphemia, the patron saint of Rovinj, at 16 m beside the descent line.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
