Twin Barges

Also known as: Twin Barges Wreck

The two barges worked with the dredger that reclaimed land for the international airport and were sunk on purpose next to Corsair Reef in February 1989. They lie close together on a sandy bottom and are now covered in coral after decades underwater. Jacks, lionfish, stonefish and scorpionfish live on the hulls, along with tattooed and Javanese morays. The wrecks are only a few minutes by boat from Beau Vallon and Bel Ombre.
