La Mesa

The site takes its name from the table-like shape of the reef. Broad ledges along its sides host cleaning stations where groupers wait to be cleaned, and sponges grow upside down under the overhangs. Red Sail Sports recommends working around the base first and ending the dive on the top. There, large schools of jacks, chub, barracuda, snapper and squirrelfish gather.
