Blue Lagoon (Thetford Reef)

Blue Lagoon is a sheltered lagoon ringed by coral bommies, with a sandy bottom that slopes up into the shallows. Staghorn, boulder and plate corals dominate, and the bommies offer walls and swim-throughs. Giant clams, butterflyfish, wrasse, parrotfish and blacktip reef sharks are commonly seen. Its shelter makes it a reliable choice for snorkellers and newer divers.
