Ulla y Turia

The Ulla and the Turia were wooden-hulled minesweepers of the Nalon type, built with very few magnetic parts, that later served as patrol boats. The navy scuttled both in August 1999 between the Cabo de Palos reserve and Isla Grosa to create an artificial reef. Time and storms have rotted much of the wood, so the Turia has almost disappeared and the Ulla lies broken in two. The site is an intermediate wreck dive for divers with advanced training.
