Bajo de la Testa
Also known as: Testa
Bajo de la Testa is a broad table of rock rising from a seabed of about 20 to 24 m and edged by seagrass and coralline algae. On its eastern side a drop-off separates the main plateau from a rocky ridge, forming a narrow passage where big groupers and brown meagre wait. Several large old anchors lie around the shoal, which divers like to search for. Dentex dash in from the blue to hunt bogue, and barracuda schools often hover over the plateau. The boat ride stays close to the coast and the dive has a gentle profile, so it suits divers of every level.
