Carl's Hill

Carl's Hill is named after Carl Roessler, who photographed Bonaire's reefs in the late 1960s. Its main feature is a sheer wall starting about 20 yards from shore and dropping to sand. Sponges and gorgonians cover the wall, along with the rarely seen featherbush hydroid. Barracuda, bar jacks and large schools of blue tangs are common, and seahorses are sometimes found.
