Dolphin Rock
Dolphin Rock is an offshore rock formation off Isla Bastimentos that breaks the surface, so there is life from the very top down to about 20 m. Caverns and arches in the rock make it an interesting site to explore. Large blue parrotfish, schools of jacks, green morays, giant crabs and nurse sharks are reported, together with occasional eagle rays. Dolphins, despite the name, are rarely seen. Because of swell the site is only safe on calm days, usually in September and October.
