Levensstrijd

Also known as: Weldamseweg · Levensstrijd / Weldamseweg

Getting there takes a long walk from the car park, but the reward is a quiet site out of the main current. The bottom is mostly sand and silt with clay and peat structures, and the scattered blocks are densely overgrown. In spring sepia structures are put out here as at the nearby Zeelandbrug, and cuttlefish and squid lay their eggs; their young appear on the sand in summer. The site lends itself to gentle drift dives, preferably after high-water slack.
