Manta Scramble
Also known as: Kabira Ishizaki Manta Scramble · Manta Ray Scramble · 川平石崎マンタスクランブル (Japanese)
The site was opened by Kabira dive guides in the 1980s and became famous in the 1990s, which makes it the oldest of Ishigaki's manta sites. It covers an area of roughly 600 m from east to west and 200 m from north to south with several cleaning stations, and the tops of the heads lie at only about 7 to 13 m. From early September to the middle of November, the mating season, divers may see several males chasing a female. Turtles are seen all year, and the boat ride from Kabira takes only about 10 to 15 minutes. Local manta protection rules ask divers not to chase, touch or block the animals.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
