Turkey Beach

Turkey Beach starts on the fringing reef just south of the resort and turns into a shallow, heavily fissured wall. Below roughly 15 m the reef becomes a slope that continues into deep water, so the dive can be kept shallow or extended downwards. The resort rates it from beginner to advanced depending on the current of the day. Divers report sharks on the plateau below and a very large turtle on a night dive, and a long-time Wakatobi guide recalls a school of around 20 eagle rays passing through the site.
