Calabash Cut
The site is a reef-flat garden of tall sea plumes, sea rods, tube and rope sponges and barrel sponges on the eastern side of the atoll near Blackbird Caye. French and grey angelfish, queen triggerfish, whitespotted filefish, spotted drums and juvenile trunkfish move between the coral heads. It is a good place for macro life, with octopus, channel clinging and decorator crabs, Pederson and squat shrimp. The endemic whitespotted toadfish also lives here. Hawksbill turtles come to feed on the sponges, and the moderate depth suits open water divers.
