Daquit Shoal

Daquit Shoal sits off the northeast coast, roughly east of Enrique Villanueva, and is too far from land for a shore entry. Its top lies at only 5 m, which makes it good for snorkelling too. The main attractions are two large overhangs called the cathedrals at around 20 to 25 m. Big barrel sponges, corals, anthias, damselfish and blueside wrasses are common. Currents can be strong, so dives are timed with the tides.
