Surfplatz

Surfplatz is a relaxed site at the surfers' beach of Schörfling am Attersee with a flat, easy entry. A long shallow shelf drops sharply to about 10 m, runs flat for a while and then slopes down to around 20 m. A carpet of stonewort algae covers the bottom and keeps the silt from rising. A sewage pipe weighted with flat concrete discs runs out under the buoys on the right. After dark the site turns lively, with many eels and perch and the occasional pike.
