Freisitz

Also known as: Badeplatz Freisitz

Freisitz is a public bathing area on the Traunsee. Unlike the steep walls that dominate much of this lake, the bottom here is shallow and reaches only about 15 m. Dense underwater plant growth covers the area and gives cover to many pike, perch and eels. The local club Tauchsport Traunsee held a club dive here in June 2024, while family members who do not dive tried snorkelling.
