Tunnelen
Also known as: Tunnel
The site takes its name from a hole that ice and water carved through the rock over thousands of years, just wide enough for one diver to squeeze through and exit a few metres deeper. Inside, orange, pink and white anemones soften the rock. On the way there the dive runs along a wall covered with yellow dead man's fingers and anemones, past kelp bending in the current. Wolffish rest among the stones, dense schools of coalfish hang in the flow and large cod come up shallower than usual. The dive is timed to the turn of the tide, and divers shelter behind the rocks when the current is strong.
