Odyssey Wreck

Also known as: The Odyssey

The Odyssey was damaged by an engine room fire and donated for sinking; Anthony's Key Resort led the clean-up with several island dive operators before she went down on 15 November 2002. The ship measures about 300 ft long and 85 ft from keel to mast, so it takes several dives to see all of it. Winter storms have since flattened the cargo hold and tilted the stern and bow to starboard, which gives the dive a skewed perspective. Schoolmaster snappers, black groupers and barracuda are typical residents. Divers usually finish on the adjacent reef wall during the ascent.
