Cara a Cara
Also known as: Marco's Place · Marcos Place
Cara a Cara, Spanish for face to face, sits on an arm of reef that juts out from the south shore about two miles off the airport. After a detailed briefing divers follow the mooring line down and settle at a small wall while roughly eight to twenty female Caribbean reef sharks circle. The sharks are attracted with a bucket of fish scraps that is opened only briefly at the end. Large groupers, snappers and a green moray are also resident. Because of the depth and frequent current, operators only take advanced divers, and action cameras such as GoPros are not allowed.
